Kids' Ministry

At Encounter Life Church, we have a variety of programs for kids of all ages.

Nursery:
For children ages birth to preschool, we offer nursery during our Sunday morning services. Your kids will be able to play, eat, and do a short Bible lesson while being cared for by our volunteers.

Kids’ Church:
For kids in kindergarten through 5th grade, we have Kids’ Church after worship. Your children will learn about the gospel in a fun, entertaining class under the careful supervision of our volunteers.

Youth Group:
Youth group is for all kids ranging 6th grade-high school. Our youth group does not meet during service, but they have different activities throughout the year. They also meet every Tuesday from 5-6:15 PM at the church.

Life Groups

These weekly in home Bible Studies are led by members of our church. One group meets on Thursday night, one on Friday night and the other on Sunday evening. Dinner is always provided and children are always welcome. Please let us know if you are interested in plugging into a Community Group or want more information. Fill out this form and we’ll be in touch as quickly as possible.

Equip Closet

The Equip Closet is meant to alleviate some of the initial burden placed on foster and kinship families who find themselves suddenly caring for children without being able to prepare in advance.  A foster or kinship family can call the closet and have someone help gather what the child will need, or the guardian or even child can come “shop” for what they need without worry about cost. We have clothing, toiletries, school supplies, even books and toys available.

Available by appointment only

Community Garden

Our church wants to serve our community by providing fresh produce via a garden that those in the community can tend and harvest.

However, not everyone has garden experience or desire, so we also have harvested produce for people to pick up.

Currently available: chard, turnip greens, collards, peas, beans, turnips, flowers, cilantro, thyme, oregano, and rosemary.

Trail Life

Trail life is a Christ-centered mentoring program for boys in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Led by John Wilson, Trail life disciples young boys with a focus on outdoor adventures, community service, and leadership skills. Trail Life meets at ELC every Monday night from 6:30 to 8:30
